I am an young multimedia and data journalist currently based out of Edmonton, AB. I am fascinated with finding new way to tell stories – combining text, photo, audio, video and code.

iNews880/630 CHED News Editor/Web Editor – Edmonton, AB 2008 – 2009

  • Created the line-up for the station’s newscasts. Combining stories from many sources in to a single seamless newscast.
  • Also worked as news web editor. Responsible for updating station site, posting new stories and adding multimedia.

Quick at learning and working with a number of Content Management Systems: WordPress, iNews, Drupal, Basestation

Proficient with Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Excel, Illustrator, Indesign and Final Cut Pro

Multimedia

Comfortable with combining photos, graphics, audio, and video, as well as interactive elements, to fully engage online readers

Understanding of statistics and databases allow me to use data for both research and visualisations.

Can write for a variety of mediums and in different tones: online writing, news copy, broadcast, and feature writing
